The top 10 trends for A/W 2022

As the temperature begins to drop we start to turn to comfy knits and knee-high boots to keep us covered up whilst still looking fashionable. Some of have nailed transitional dressing whilst some of us look longingly at all our summer dresses wishing for the sun to re-appear.
When dressing for the colder weather think of layering, comfy basics that can be worn year after year, and patterns and colours that make you smile during those dark and dreary mornings. From the catwalks to fashion lovers walking the streets all over the world, to your favourite influencers, these are the biggest trends we've witnessed for this season...

1) The plain white tank
Now I know what you're thinking; 'tanks in winter?', but these versatile pieces of clothing have been seen everywhere on the catwalks this season from Bottega Venetta to Prada, pair with your favourite pair of jeans or your sleekest leather trousers to enter into the new season.
2) The bomber jacket

The wardrobe staple that never goes out of style. This jacket has had an update for the new season, think oversized and vintage additions which can carry you through day to night.

3) The corset
The love of corsets has made a sharp comeback this year and they have been trending all over social media. Designers all over have built in corseted waists to their designs for this season, think dresses and tops for day and night. This is one trend that doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

4) The striped knit
It's hard not to see this trusty piece of knitwear popping up all over social media lately and with it's versatility it isn't hard to understand why. Pair with denim, leggings, or a mini skirt and knee-high boots to really nail the trend.

5) Leather
I know leather is in every a/w but this year it's coming in edgier than before, from jackets to trousers, mini-skirts and even tank tops, don't be surprised when you see every fashion girl wearing a head-to-toe leather look.

6) Preppy y2k
Like it or not the revival of y2k fashion is here to stay. Mini skirts have had an upgrade this season with plaid patterns and sporty tennis styles hitting the catwalks and the high-street stores, it looks like this trend is not slowing down any time soon.

7) Transparent fabrics
Bodycon is back after the rise of slouchy oversized silhouettes of recent seasons, and this year it's had an update. The runways were full of transparent, skin-tight fabrics and quirky-cut outs.

8) Clogs
Chunky clogs are happening. What started as a slow trickle of images of our favourite fashion girls wearing these shoes, quickly became a full flow of people wearing these all over our feeds. Whether you want to re-visit your young teen obsessions or not these shoes look set to stick around.

9) Maxi skirts
Whilst mini skirts are having their moment so is the maxi skirt. This trend was seen all over the catwalks this season from Chanel to Dior. Pair with heeled boots and a cosy knit to embrace the trend in full force.

10) Faux fur
Fur has taken over accessories this season from bucket hats to shoes, accessories have had an upgrade to make them anything but boring. Faux fur styles were seen on the catwalks from designers such as Lowe and Off-white, mixing cool textures with unexpected colours.
